Patterned Metals

Last fall ASU students had the chance to take a course focused solely on patterning metals with Tedd McDonah. Tedd's expertise in this area was evident to the group, as we got the chance to see his work with patterned metals first hand. We learned how to create mokume gane and damascus steel billets, and were instructed on many different ways of patterning. The class entailed lots of hard work, but was completely worth it. Check out some of the AMAZING pieces students created:

The students worked so hard and exceeded my expectations in their commitment to the process and in their creative endeavors.
