Visiting Artist: Julia Harrison

The Metals Club at ASU will be hosting a guest artist, Julia Harrison, this Friday and Saturday! Julia specializes in woodcarving and finishing techniques for jewelry applications.
Join us this Friday for the Artist Lecture:
Friday, December 4th at 7:00 pm Art Building Rm 220.Additionally to the lecture will be a workshop in woodcarving and finishing techniques for jewelry applications:
Friday, December 4th 9:30 am - 4:30 pm.
& Saturday, December 5th 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
(Due to limited seating contact becky.mcdonah@asu.edu to reserve a bench for participation in the demo, we will be needing to use the flexshafts..)

4th Annual Intercollegiate Metals Exhibition Awards


This year's exhibition was an exciting one, full of exceptional work from seven different institutions across the country. Awards were chosen by juror Jewel Clark, current resident artist at the Mesa Arts Center. First, second, and third place awards were chosen in the following four categories:

Its that time again! We here at ASU Metals are getting ready to host our 4th Annual Intercollegiate Metals Exhibition.

Visiting Artist Public Lecture: Megan Auman

ASU Metals is pleased to announce Megan Auman as a visiting artist. Megan will be giving a public lecture
on Thursday, April 30th, at 7pm in the art building, room 246.
All are welcome to attend.
There will also be a
professional development workshop emphasizing on marketing and smart business skills for the working artist,
on Friday May 1st from 10-3. Location: Stauffer Building room A237.
This event is free and open to the public.

BFA Senior Exhibition

Congratulations to ASU Metals' two graduating seniors this semester:

Their senior exhibition will be held in Gallery 100, March 30th-April 2nd.

MFA Thesis Exhibition: Victoria Altepeter

ASU Masters of Fine Arts Candidate, Victoria Altepeter, will be opening her thesis show next week. Entitled Dynamical Balance, the show will run from March 23 - March 27.
The Opening Reception is Monday, March 23 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. In the Harry Wood Art Gallery in The Katherine K Herberger School of Art, Art Building.

Becky Chader McDonah has a solo show entitled, "The Ordinarily Overlooked". The show runs January 28th - February 26th. It is located at Bruce Gallery in Edinboro, Pennsylvania.
