Andy Cooperman (his work shown above) visited ASU last month for a belt buckle workshop sponsored by Arizona Designer Craftsmen. He gave a great lecture about his work and also demonstrated several techniques including the basics of fabricating a western style tang and loop belt buckle for workshop participants. 
Each participant was able to create their own buckle.
